1. Who this policy covers
VForce Security, Inc. (“VForce,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a licensed private patrol operator in the State of California, California PPO# 122415, with offices at 4501 Auburn Blvd, Suite 106, Sacramento, CA 95841.
This policy describes how we handle personal information we collect through our website at vforcesecurity.com, through our online forms, and through the phone calls and text messages we send to our employees and to people who contact us.
It does not cover information we handle under a signed services agreement with a client, or incident reports and video footage generated in the course of providing security services. Those are governed by the applicable contract and by California law.
2. Information you give us
We collect only what our forms ask for.
Proposal requests. Your name, organization, email address, phone number, the type of site you are asking about, and your message.
Job applications. Your name, email address, phone number, the position you are interested in, whether you hold a current California guard card, and whatever background and availability you choose to write in.
Employee contact consent. If you are a VForce employee and you enroll in our shift and post notification program, we collect your name, your mobile phone number, the site or post you are assigned to, and a record of the consent you gave, including the date and time it was submitted.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, payment card numbers, or health information anywhere on this website. Please do not send them to us through this site. Where a position requires that information, we collect it through a secure process during onboarding, not through a web form.
3. Text messages and phone calls
VForce uses text messaging and phone calls for one purpose: operational communication with our own officers and supervisors about their work. That means shift assignments and changes, post assignments and post order updates, schedule confirmations, call-off and relief coverage, site access instructions, and urgent notices affecting a post.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not text people who are not VForce employees or applicants who have asked us to contact them.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services on our behalf — for example, the messaging platform that delivers a message — is permitted solely so that those services can be performed.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose mobile phone numbers or consent records to anyone for their own use.
Enrollment is voluntary and is given through our employee text and call consent form. Message frequency varies with your schedule. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages, or reply HELP for help. Opting out of text messages does not affect your employment; it means your supervisor will reach you by phone instead.
4. Information collected automatically
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which typically record the IP address making a request, the date and time, the pages requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. We use these for security and troubleshooting.
Our messaging provider keeps delivery records for the messages we send — whether a message was delivered, and when. We use those records to confirm that an officer actually received a post instruction.
5. How we use information
We use what you submit to respond to your inquiry, prepare and send a proposal, answer questions about our services, evaluate your interest in a position, staff and supervise our posts, and keep records of the inquiries and consents we have received. We use server logs to operate and secure the site.
6. We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not trade, rent, or exchange inquiry information, applicant information, mobile phone numbers, or consent records with anyone for marketing purposes.
7. When we share information
We share personal information in four situations only, and never for a third party’s own marketing.
Service providers. Our web host, email provider, and messaging platform necessarily process messages in order to deliver them. They are permitted to use that information only to provide the service to us. As stated in section 3, mobile opt-in data and consent records are not shared beyond this.
Inside our company. Inquiries reach the people who prepare proposals; applications reach the people who make hiring decisions; shift and post information reaches the supervisors responsible for that post.
When the law requires it. In response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.
In a business transfer. If VForce is acquired or merged, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
8. How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable business record. We keep applications for as long as the position and our record-keeping obligations require. We keep employee consent records for the duration of employment and for as long afterward as we are required to be able to show that consent was given. Server logs are kept on our host’s standard schedule.
9. Your rights as a California resident
California law gives residents rights over personal information held about them, including the right to know what is collected, to request a copy, to request correction, and to request deletion. Which statutes apply to a given business depends on its size and activities, but we extend the following to anyone who asks, regardless:
Email info@vforcesecurity.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” Tell us what you want — a copy, a correction, or deletion — and enough detail for us to find your record. We will respond within 45 days. We will not retaliate against you for making a request, and exercising these rights will not affect a proposal, an application, or your employment.
We may need to verify that a request is really coming from you before we act on it, particularly for deletion. If someone makes a request on your behalf, we will ask for proof of authorization.
10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This site runs no advertising cookies, no analytics, and no cross-site tracking technology, so there is nothing here for a Do Not Track header or a Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of.
11. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through this site, including serving the site over an encrypted connection and limiting who can read inquiries and consent records. No website or email system can promise perfect security, and we will not claim otherwise.
12. Children
This website is directed to businesses, public agencies, and job seekers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other sites
Where we link to another organization’s website, that site has its own privacy practices and this policy does not apply to it.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be apparent from the page itself; we do not make quiet edits.
